So I totally fell asleep before I could post this last night:
It has snowed a foot here. In Virginia. wtf. I'm loving it, but oh my god our infrastructure is not prepared for this shit. Roads sucking so bad. Drivers are worse. Pedestrians get first prize, though. I'm sorry, if you are walking in the STREET in front of MY CAR I expect you to move out of MY way. Not me swerving and maybe wrecking my car because you are too lazy to move your fat ass to the side of the road. And no, don't throw snowballs at my fucking car you asshole. Bah. Humbug. Also parking almost turned into utter fail when my car got stuck a few times in drifts but I fixed it. With my boots. Hehehe.
Sooooo tired but must do this next thing. For science!
( Wishlist meme cause Nik asked me to. )
So it's tomorrow now and I had a great day. I think I slept 10 hours, almost. It was amaaaaaazing. I never get that kind of sleep these days, heh. I have a keyboard waiting for me at my parents' house (a really nice oneeeee yaaaay I can start doing music again!). I am being picked up at some point soon by mah bff and her mom to go to the house of this nifty girl we both adore. To do costume-y things for Fallout tonight because, well, at least for my part I am in a dressing up sort of mood! Winter wonderland type stuff I guess.
Augh I have a space heater pointed toward me in my living room (the room with the propane heater) and my feet are still cold. Inside my boots. Failcakes.
I am so satisfied with my social circle right now. I feel like I'm spending time with the people I really like...although I definitely think I'm always a little behind. There's always those few other people it occurs to me I want to spend time with and I just don't have time or they aren't around or whatever.
Oh my gawd it's too frickin cold now that the sun is down. Wisconsin in two weeks is gonna be AWESOME! Hehe. At least
lechevalierseul has heat. Although I am enjoying typing on my computer in my Super-90s fishnet armlength gloves. <3

Watch the video; it's adorable.
Sorry I've been really busy and haven't had time to check comments or journals or anything like that.
Leaving for Philly Tues-Fri next week, then going to stay with
lechevalierseul from Dec 27 - Jan 3.
This week is SO BUSY. But it's a good kind of busy mostly. I mean, I broke my brain doing a ton of kung fu kids certificates last night/this morning, but mostly my busy has been a social busy. Saw Zombieland (finally!) as a totally last minute thing last night. It meant killing myself to stay up late and do those certs on my computer but worth it!
Social bustling...man, every time I think I'm burning out I rearrange my groups, reset, and keep it going strong. There's one guy in particular I've been hanging out with a lot, although to be fair at this point my friendship comfort level with him (as well as certain other people I spend a lot of time with) is at the level of "technically you could be furniture in my house" and the furniture-comfort-people don't count for social stuff in the same way. My point is: I have people, I get to spend time with them, awesome.
Oh, and I've been watching a miniseries called Cult Symbolism in the Third Reich. My geek feathers have been fluffing themselves for daaaaays now, oh man. I haven't had time for geekery as much lately. Like, real geekery, not just making cutesy references to things and making jokes. Real geekery to me is actually learning things, making an effort and researching and expanding mental horizons. Sometimes that means researching further on topics I already know (sharksssss) and sometimes it means revisiting things I've forgotten (WW2 trivia) but regardless of the exact form, real geekery is my favorite kind.
And I have to go now...meh. No time to shower before work; I guess I'll come home after work and eat and shower and THEN go to a thing with a local band I like. They're having a get-together/recording party/concert thingie. Good times. It's kind of far away, but I'm sure my trusty car can make it this once. ;P
Oh, and happy hanukah! I still haven't lit my candles for today. :(
